It's a new year, and that's when a lot of companies reassess things and do their hiring and firings. I worked for a company that was cutting personnel, now I've got to find one that is planning to expand this year. :)

You're not alone, my husband got demoted this Jan and that cuts around 1,200 out of our monthly pay (which we really needed for like, the house payment!)

Sometimes life just isn't that great, is it?

I have to look for something else: I've got a mortgage to pay and a debt load like you wouldn't believe (long story). Something will come up, hopefully with a shorter commute for me. 34+ miles each way was wearing my nerves thin. Sadly, I can say it wore my body any thinner. :)
