Tuesday - Peaches
Jun. 27th, 2006 02:24 pmI wrote back in March about the berries and peaches that grow in my yard in the spring. For those of you who like visual images to go with the words, here are the peach blossoms and the subsequent peaches that I picked the other week. I forgot to photograph them as baby peachlings wearing tutus of dried flower petals, but the ripe fruit is pretty in it's own right.
As blossoms in March

As fruit on the tree

Gathered by my hands and nestled in the arms of the mother tree that grew them

We are making peach cobblers and peach ice cream over at my house this week. Anyone hungry?
