I wrote back in March about the berries and peaches that grow in my yard in the spring. For those of you who like visual images to go with the words, here are the peach blossoms and the subsequent peaches that I picked the other week. I forgot to photograph them as baby peachlings wearing tutus of dried flower petals, but the ripe fruit is pretty in it's own right.

I've got to do something with them quick. My refrigerator is overflowing with peachy goodness. Do you like your cobbler a la mode?

She did a nice job this year. I think I'll give her an extra serving of fertilizer!

Thank you! The blossoms smell kind of like peaches themselves; I love when they are blooming.

We have 2 different trees and they are both different. I think it depends on the species of peach. The other tree makes bigger peaches that are a little sweeter. These are small and kind of sweet-tart in flavor.

Aren't they neat? I hate our house (it's a fixer upper; nice theory, hellish reality), but I love that it came with these trees...
