ninanevermore: (Ferris Wheel)

Today, sitting at The Stoplight on my drive into work, I glanced over at The Ferris Wheel. It is huge, and on overcast days the top of it disappears into the clouds as it rotates. Even on clear days, it's hard for me to make out the upper cars sitting in my sedan on the ground.

The Carney was leaning against the gate post amusing himself by blowing smoke rings that defied the laws of physics. Instead of starting off small and growing large and hazy before dissipating over his head after a brief moment, they grew larger but no less dense as they rose. When they reached about 8 or 9 feet high off to his right, the smoke rings would hit a shaft of sunlight shining through the clouds. As the sunlight caught them they lit up like halogen lights for a moment before evanescing with a flash, leaving behind a snow white dove that either flew off or landed at the Carney's feet. At least half a dozen doves walked around the ground at his feet, pecking at the earth or grooming their feathers.

One thing is for sure: those are not just ordinary Dorel's that he's smoking.
