Wednesday - Posh Cuppa Joe
Nov. 23rd, 2005 10:25 amToday on the drive into work, I thought about Thanksgiving and how much I really don't like it. I don't like cooking and I don't like turkey (or ham, for that matter) and I'm not that fond of spending time with my extended family.
Passing by the Ferris Wheel, the Carney seemed chipper and he waved at me as I drove by. Holiday traffic keeps him busy this time of year. He had a vente cup from Starbucks in one hand, I guess because he wanted the caffeine to help him through the extra workload.
Starbucks? Why would an entity who smokes cheap Dorel cigarettes spring for Starbucks coffee? The universe is, indeed, a mysterious place.

Maybe it's the people getting off of the ride who leave him things. Assume that you pull away from the Starbucks' drive through only to have a massive coronary. You may as well leave your coffee with the Grim Reaper; it's not like you need it anymore.
On that thought, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
