Thursday - Hokey Pokey
Oct. 27th, 2005 10:32 amOn the drive into work this morning, I was thinking of children's songs, and how I need to remember them because my son is getting to the age where he will want songs that he can interact to. So far, he has been content with my taste in music sung to him by me. I own no childrens' CDs yet. He listens to that stuff all day at school. Besides, I know from going to open mike nights that what my son really likes is the blues.
Somehow, I found myself singing a jazzed up version of The Hokey Pokey. What the hell, it's a fun song, so long as nobody makes me dance to it. I was still singing when I drove by the Ferris Wheel.
The Grim Reaper was putting his left foot in, putting his left foot out, putting his left foot in and shaking it all about. He waggled his hips and turned himself around, then did a bow for me.
I laughed out loud.
I get along with that guy a lot better than I should.
