Monday - They don't get it

Everywhere I look, the people I see are ridiculous. The situations are ridiculous. The expressions, the moods, the expectations are ridiculous.

Why aren't more people laughing?

Sometimes I think I'm the only one who notices that we are all actors in a dark comedy. Not only is it okay to laugh, it's healthy. Really, people - just go ahead.

Girl, I have always loved the way I can make you laugh at funerals. Everyone gives you the dirty looks and I get off scott free because I am not the one making any noise. In fact, I am the one standing next to you with my finger over my lips saying, "Shhhhhhh!" They think I am helping, when really I am the root of the problem.

Yuck it up. And when I die someday, I want you to laugh loudest of all. Print this out so that when the day comes, you can show it to poeple and use it as a permission slip.
