Thursday - A Magnet for Crazy

Today on my drive into work, I was thinking about how if there is a psychotic, vindictive, pathological liar in any office I work in, I am always going to find a way to get on that person's bad side. Working with crazy people is a fact of life, and it's usually merely annoying up until the moment they point their crazy at you and start firing.

There's just something about me, I guess. I have a gift.

The sad thing about talents is that everybody has at least one, but you don't get to pick which one it's going to be.

I'd have chosen a talent for making lots and lots of money, given the choice. Instead, I got the innate ability to irritate crazy people.

I would like to trade this gift in for the ability to charm people into giving me expensive gifts (gold, cars, jewelry, etc.). Where is the return counter for these sorts of things?

The thing with crazy is that, like battery acid, it causes irritation and pain when someone dumps it on you. A haz-mat suite of arrogance and unrepentance helps, but only so much, because it only increases the pH level of the crazy as it tries to burn through it.
