I'm a bit of a hoarder, but I do start feeling claustrophobic and go through my things several times a year and just start throwing everything out.
As a child, however, I saved everything. I hoarded so much money my parents would borrow from me instead of going to the ATM. I used to buy candy, and just take little bites, and save the rest, eating only a little bit at a time because I thought I might never have that type of candy again.
Luckily, as an adult, my only real problem is hoarding cooking magazines, books, and emails. The rest can go. There is, of course, that can of three-bean salad in the cupboard should there ever be civil unrest in our neighborhood.
I look forward to your stories over my morning tea, by the way. :)
