Thursday - The birds
May. 12th, 2005 10:17 amWeather: Same as yesterday, but more so. The air is like lukewarm dishwater, gray and nasty, nothing you want touching your skin. If it wouldn't mean drowning in sweat, I think more people in Houston would walk around in Haz-Mat suits.
Today at the stoplight, I noticed the birds above circling and coming to rest on the wires. I suspect that they have learned to control the stoplights by using their feet to influence the flow of electricity to the lights. Maybe if I made an effort to put seeds in the empty bird feeder in my back yard, word would get out and they would make more of the lights green for me.
It's something to consider.
