Thursday – Kaitlyn’s Promise

“Wahoo!” I heard Cheri, the accountant here in the office where I work, exclaimed this morning.
“Wahoo? What, you win the lottery? You outta here?”
“Almost!” she said, “It’s like winning the lottery for me. I just got a $300 donation to my daughter’s foundation.” When I stuck my head in her office, she was doing a little dance while still sitting in her chair.
“You have a foundation for your daughter?” I knew that Cheri gives talks at area schools about her daughter and what happened to her, but I didn’t realize that she had a whole non-profit organization set up.
( My kid would never do that. )
