Friday - Bubblegum

Today on the drive into work, I could not help but notice as I drove past the Ferris Wheel that, instead of a cigarette, the Carney was blowing a big, pink, bubblegum bubble. His new mustache is still rather sparse, but it seemed like a risky endeavor for someone with any amount of facial hair.

I wonder if he is trying to quit smoking? It's not like the habit is taking any years off of his life, but I can imagine how an eternity's worth of cigarette smoke would make your clothes smell.

Couldn't have been an eternity's worth unless cigarettes were around before death. Who am I kidding? They probably were.

He operates outside the boundaries of time and space, except for how he defines them to suit his needs. He has always had access to cigarettes, coffee, harmonicas and ferris wheels; since they exist somewhere in time, they have existed always as far as he's concerned.

For him, time is not linear, it's cyclical (hence his ferris wheel, which is just a big fat visual metaphor he created for my benefit).

That's close to what I was thinking but 100 times more eloquent.

I'm a poet; eloquent is what I do. Otherwise, we poets are pretty useless creatures. ;)
